#5 Hercules and Love Affair

Hercules and Love Affair was introduced to me by someone that seems to know exactly what sort of tunes I'll love.
Not my brother Martin, who just has the best taste in music ever, but my friend Charlotte, who has such diverse taste, I'm astounded when I go through her iTunes.

They're neo-disco awesomeness that I've yet to hear the likes of in this day and age.
Amazing.

Great for long drives and dances parties in kitchens.
Or on cabin decks on long weekends or any other time of the year.

Joy oh joy.

#4 Black Moth Super Rainbow

Black Moth Super Rainbow was introduced into my collection when an artist I greatly respect used one of their songs in a video they had made.
Since then, I have used two of their songs in my videos and find their eerie music a perfect pair with my visuals.
Their newer tunes are making me just as happy.

They are the perfect music to just sit back and enjoy the rain outside
Like I'm doing right now.

#3 Wild Beasts

A friend of mine introduced me briefly to this band.
I have no complaints about them except that I wish the purely instrumental bits were longer.
I could last an entire album with just those pieces.
The vocals are surprising and haunting and the music as a whole is just perfect for sitting in your favorite space, sketchbook in hand, with a side of your choice of downer.

Enjoy it.
Now.

#2 Efterklang

If you haven't heard of this band, you need to listen to them.
Music that pulls at your heart strings and could almost release tears if you invest too much.
Music that surrounds you as you listen, creating a space of tones that sing a story book.
And you don't even need to understand the lyrics.

Efterklang.
I used their song "Prey and Predator" for my final film project, which I need to post here actually.
Their music makes me realise that you can not only feel, but also embody the word melancholy.

Listen.
Love.
Share.

#1 I am Robot and Proud

I'll avoid the cliches and we'll celebrate the Chinese New Year, okay?

Start your year off right with the fine tunes of a lovely group by the name of "I Am Robot and Proud"

Lovely soft, synth pop-esque music that touches your ears like cotton candy clouds. Pure aural pleasure.
